The fact that this was found and a patch was posted (which no one publicly can access) almost a year ago and a true patch hasn't made it into a release has me worried no one really cares about this tool anymore. My guess is that I have better luck going somewhere other than VMWare's community for help.
It's just out of reach, and kind of aggravating. The patch is posted publicly, but no one can access it...
Why have a community of no one is going to tend to it? Why post a patch if no one can access it? Why offer up the tool if it's broken in the first place?
In its current state, the OVF Tool is completely unusable on OS X Mountain Lion. If it was that easy to produce and post this patch (which no one can access), then why is it taking an entire year to put out a 3.0.2 release??
I'm not even sure why I'm posting this anymore, because I'm basically talking to a brick wall.
