PXE install ESXI with persistent config

We just setup PXE for ESXI, and thankfully I rebooted the system to move it to the back before it bit me in the ass.

So everything installs fine, no problem. But when we reboot, we get "No Active Partition Found" error. More research shows that PXE install of ESXI is not persistent. So a reboot would kill it and I would need to re-PXE boot to get everything back up.

Is there any way to make the ESXI PXE install persistent? I don't see why the only option would be a non persistent install?

I came across this.. How to boot ESXi 5.0 from pxe with state

But really, there's a reason we are PXE booting...We don't want to need to go and make a ton of config changes after the fact, I would have just installed it from CD if that is the case.

Hope I can get a kick in the right direction. Thanks.
